A shot is a signal that dogs readily react to, both positively and negatively.
The training method that Hundskolan Vision highly recommends with shooting is HABITUATION. This method works on all dogs, regardless of breed or age. With bird dogs, I first teach them that shots do not mean anything. I then teach the dog through association that shots equate to the command ’sit’. In this film and the accompanying text you will learn how to, step by step, train your dog to handle shooting in the best way.
