Steadiness means that your bird dog remains where it is and sits when the bird flies. It is steady to wing and shot. This is one of the most important things to teach a Pointer bird dog. Good steadiness makes the hunt calm and safe, both for you and your dog. Steadiness training is conducted when sit training is complete.
